Dr. Laviolette will present the latest research from his team exploring the impacts of maternal cannabis use on the developing brain. Covered topics will include how exposure to pre-natal cannabis can increase the risk of neuropsychiatric disorders in later life and the underlying pathology in the brain that is caused by pre-natal cannabis exposure. The presentation will also describe how dietary interventions with Omega-3 fatty acids may act to prevent or reverse these neuropathological effects from pre-natal cannabis exposure.
